Following dreams

Background: I grew up in Southern and central California. I lived in Florida briefly as a child when my grandmother was ill. My oldest uncle worked with Walt Disney, the actual Walt Disney man, on films when Walt was alive and subsequently for 40 years with Disney.

As a child and preteen, my uncle and mother exposed me to the film industry. I remember seeing photos of my uncle and Walt Disney when I was a child, however didn’t realize who Walt was at the time. Later in life, I reconnected myself to the film industry.

I remain close in my heart with Disneyland, Walt Disney films, filmmakers, Burbank, Los Angeles, and of course, Judaism, Jewish ancestry, Native Americans, my Native American ancestry, and Hollywood. I will always be an avid old Hollywood film supporter.

My maternal grandfather was a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force and flew in many wars. My father’s side of the family is from deep Texas and my mother’s side is from New York and Florida. My grandmother was Jewish and raised in New York.

Education: I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, focusing on cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics, and neuropsychology. I’ve also studied french, taken ballet, studied film, and costume design. I’ve earned three college degrees, one in sciences and one in arts. My science degree is in Law. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I am a mother, a Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor lover based on women’s public views, heritage, Judaism, and my family ties. I’ve written screenplays to help bring back “old Hollywood” based on my great California memories and stories told to me throughout the years. These stories are from family or friends of my grandparents’ generation in Hollywood, as well as the other endeavors humans experienced at that time.

I am the author of the series Mermaids of Past Times: The Poor Royals which is a nonfiction account of my family and old Hollywood, including Marilyn Monroe.
